BUKIT TIMAH FIFTH AVENUE (GUTHRIE HOUSE) where i work
toast - toes/toss ( whose toes? toss the toes?)
french - flench (what the heck?!)
coke - cork/cock =/
cuban - human (OMG!! HUMAN SANDWICH!! faintss)
roast - lost (get the beef back - roast beef becomes lost beef)
bacon - beckham (BECKHAM SANDWICH?!)
dressing - raisins (is there raisins in my salad?! i didnt ask 4 raisins topping!!)
bageutte - baggard ?!
crusty - rusty (RUSTY BREAD!?)
all these mis-pronunciation set the angmo customers off with laughters,anger and fright at my work place. the customers reaction is bracketed. Whenever i come across these words, i'll not forget the fun times i had at simply bread. Gonna miss the place when sch reopens..spend yr time here lol..
